Review of "Paul and the Power of Grace" published in The Asbury Journal

I am pleased to announce that my review of Paul and the Power of Grace by John M.G. Barclay has been published in The Asbury Journal's Spring 2022 issue.

This book is, in my opinion, a successful abridgement of Barclay's earlier Paul and the Gift, which is perhaps a game-changing approach to the topic of grace in the Pauline epistles. In contrast to that earlier work, Paul and the Power of Grace is targeted towards a slightly less academic audience, and I am very happy to see Barclay's analysis presented in a format that should be accessible to most pastors (and quite a few laity). Although this review was written back in 2020, my thoughts on the book itself have remained the same, and it comes highly recommended.
